ABOUT

I came to product design from architecture. Both come down to the same question. How do people move through a space, and how do they feel while they do it. One just happens to live on a screen.

That curiosity is what pulled me toward UX, and I went on to earn a Master of Information in UX Design from the University of Toronto. Architecture gave me the instinct for structure. The master's gave me the research and the methods to back it up.

I care about the parts of design people never notice when they are done right. Structure that holds up. Flows you don't have to think about. Interfaces that feel obvious in hindsight, even though getting there rarely is. I start with the bones, then make the whole thing feel effortless.

When I'm not designing, I'm usually playing volleyball, tennis, or padel, or chasing whatever new activity I can talk someone into trying. I like staying active and I like variety, on the court and in the work.

Currently a Product Designer @ RBC.
